Strategic Environmental Assessment
This is a process of appraisal through which environmental protection and sustainable development may be considered, and factored into national and local decisions regarding government (and other) policies, plans and programmes. We have been involved in the UK offshore SEA since 2004. We are also currently involved in Ireland's offshore renewable energy Strategic Environmental Assessment.
Seabird Survey Training
Cork Ecology offer training courses designed to train seabird and marine mammal surveyors to an ESAS accepted standard.
Data Analysis
Cork Ecology offer a complete data analysis service, managing marine survey data for offshore wind farm developments, oil and gas developments and seismic surveys.
Desk-based Assessments
Cork Ecology offer a desk-based collation, review and assessment of published environmental information for specific projects, prior to conducting surveys on site. These assessments can be used to highlight gaps in baseline environmental information about a site, allowing a more focused and cost effective survey plan to be drawn up.
